Description
This course will further your knowledge of electronic instruments as tools for designing sound and their almost infinite creative possibilities in the production of electronic music.
In the first part of the course, you will analyze the blocks of synthesizers, which include oscillators, filters, and modulators, and which will allow you to handle their parameters with ease and in a practical way, so that styles such as house, techno, trance or EDM, in general, will no longer be a secret to you.
In the second part of the course, you will learn about samplers and how to use audio samples to unleash your creativity and understand the processes that allow you to create tracks in urban styles such as trap or hip-hop. As in the first module, the software you will use is Ableton Live, one of the most advanced programs for the production of electronic music.
This module has a duration of one term (11 weeks). As it is an online course, all of the activities are carried out on our virtual campus, accessible from any personal device, whether it is a computer, tablet, or mobile phone, and in this way, you can manage your time according to your needs and availability so as to have a satisfactory and complete learning experience.
Completion of this course allows you to continue your studies for our Electronic Music Certification, dedicated to Processing and Mixing.

Electronic music production - Synthesis and sampling
- Physics of sound.
- Synthesiser generators and modifiers.
- Modulators.
- MIDI control and global aspects.
- Sound design.
- Fundamentals of sampling.
- Sampling techniques.
- Production with loops.
- Advanced synthesis (FM, physical modelling, wavetable, and spectral synthesis).

The following devices are required to carry out the course:
- Audio interface (2 analog inputs and 2 outputs).
- Studio headphones.
- MIDI music controller (keyboard).
- DAW Ableton Live. Suite versión.
*Possibility of acquiring educational licenses (between 40% and 50% discount).
Weekly commitment
Recommended number of hours of personal study of subjects and practice:
- Between twelve and eighteen hours per week, depending on the programmed activities.
Schedules
This course is developed entirely online, and represents a radically different experience from that offered by a face-to-face course since neither classmates nor teachers are located in the same space nor do they coincide at the same time.
All the activities, both individual and collective, are carried out in a virtual learning environment, which is moderated by a number of specialized teachers with extensive professional experience in the subjects taught. These teachers provide constant and dynamic support, ensuring a complete, stimulating, and satisfying learning experience.
The communication with the educational center and with the teachers is carried out in two different ways, on the one hand (asynchronously), using the internal messaging system or the forums and, on the other, the synchronous chats (in the master classes). Concerning the evaluation of all the activities, they are compiled in a book of notes that each student can consult to evaluate their progress.
