Ramir Martinez

Academic director and techno-pedagogical designer

Ramir Martinez (a.k.a Kulyela) is an electronic engineer graduated from UPC. He teaches at microFusa since 1993 in the areas of Sound, Electronic Music Production and Live Performance, creating the contents of these last two areas. As a music producer and sound engineer he has been behind some of the productions and remixes of the most relevant bands in Barcelona such as Facto Delafé y Las Flores Azules, Love Of Lesbian or Mishima, and has been responsible and head of the label Tsunami Music for a decade.

His artistic career has adopted several names and dates back to 1995, leading several pop and electronic rock bands, among them Groove Crew and Mandalas, and more recently Kulyela, a purely electronic project linked to breaks, with which he has released more than twenty works on various labels (Liquid Records, B-Core, Blood Sugar Records, Tsunami Music...). He is currently immersed in the Monocrom! project, a free-jazz and experimental electronic duo.
